With the Mesa fix Kristian recently posted the Qt drawing code for Wayland works well enough to draw the analogclock widget! Here’s hoping this is just the first of many Qt based clocks that will run on Wayland in the future.

Can't wait to see KDE working on wayland, in theory we only depend on X11 code when running on X11, so give us feedback if you try it!
Out of curiosity, what work has to be done to get Qt working on Wayland? A Wayland backend for Qt?
That indeed looks great and I agree with Alex above and would like to see KDE and Scribus running on Wayland.
The Qt port involves adding a new Wayland platform type. We debated a bit about adding a new graphics system and other approaches, but a new platform seemed to be a good fit, given the event model and the fact that drawing is a bit different than with stock EGL.
